BR 2-18: Washington D.C.

The weather in Washington can be very hot in the summer and very cold in winter. (p.18) 

I picked this book because I wanted to know about Washington. I also thought it would be easy to read because the story was separated into some section. Washington is the capital of the United States, so the city is important in the U.S. If you read the book, you will be able to get a lot of information about Washington. I could know buildings, monuments, memorials, entertainment, and so on. Washington also has many shopping and eating spaces. I have never been to Washington, so I want to go there! I also think I want to know a lot of the cities of the United States.

BR 2-17: The Tree House

Then the floor of his tree house gave way and Donut suddenly came crashing out of the tree. (p.23)

I picked this book because the title was attractive for me, so I wanted to read it. This story is about a brother and a sister. One day, a brother was watching a football match, but a sister wanted other TV program. She begged her mother, so he was forced to change the TV program. Instead of watching TV, he went to garage and helped his father. A sister got a remote control, but she switched off the TV. She sat on the sofa, and she bored. She tried to cook. She made strange dishes, so he was surprised. In the afternoon, he tried to make a tree house. He worked hard, but it didn’t go the way he wants it to. However, he challenged harder. If you are interested in the story, please read it. It was a fun story for me!

BR 2-16: Seasons and Celebrations

Valentine's Day started over two thousands years ago, as a winter festival, on February. (p.4)

I picked this book because I am interested in traditional events of foreign countries. I went to Minnesota in the U.S. during summer vacation, and I experienced thanksgiving. I ate turkey, pumpkin pie, and so on. It was very fun for me. This book shows traditional events of Western countries. I learned a lot of things about traditional events. For example, food people eat at the event, the reason the event was held, what people do at the event, and so on. This book has knowledge I didn’t know, so I learned a lot of things through reading the book. If you want to know about traditional events of foreign countries, please read it. After I read the book, I could get useful information. I want you to read it!

BR 2-15: French Adventures Part 2

The trip to France was not turning out as expected. (p.2) 

I have ever read French Adventures Part 1, so I wanted to read the continuation of the story after I read part 1. I went to the library at KGU, and I picked this book. This story is about students who came to France on a school trip. In part 1, the problem happened at the last of the story. The teacher was taken away by two men. In part 2, two students tried to find him. When they looked for their teacher, they met a woman. She helped them. If you want to know the continuation of the story, please read it. Do you think students can find their teacher? Do you think why the teacher was taken away? It is easy to read, so I recommend you to read this book.

Reflection on Writing IV

This semester, I took writing IV class. I continued my blog. I have to write fifteen thousands words during this semester. I have to read eighteen books and post book reviews. I read the books of level 1 last semester, but I tried to read the books of level 2 or 3. I made presentation about learning language history. It was interesting for me to make it. I wrote essay about my favorite place. I love my hometown, so I wrote about it. I want many people to read this essay. I also did movie review. I made essay with two friends. We watched three movies; The Devil Wears Prada, Alice in Wonderland and The Princess dairies. We focused on Anne Hathaway. I didn't know her before I watched them, but I came to like her. I also didn't watched western movies often, but I was interested in them.

Reflection on Writing III

I took writing III class last semester. I started my blog. I post essays, diaries, book reviews, typing homework, and so on. I had to write ten thousands words during last semester. It was so hard for me. However, it was interesting for me to read English books and read other classmates' blogs. I wrote essays about Kumamoto Gakuen University and my language learning history. I cooperate two friends, and we made essay about KGU. I think it is the best essay I post my blog during last semester. When I wrote essay about learning language history, I remembered the past. I read fifteen English picture books. I had never read English books before. I read only easy books, so I wanted to be able to read more difficult books.

2012→2013

A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Now, I will write about my life from the end of the year to the New Year.

[Dec. 24th]
First, I went to hair salon to cut forelock and color my hair. Next, I went to Christmas party. I met my friends at 39 Mart, and we bought presents each other. After shopping, we moved to karaoke. We enjoyed karaoke for three hours. I was happy to listen to my friends’ song. We also took pictures at print club. At evening, I went to Mark J to eat dinner. I ate salad, pasta, steak, and so on. I enjoyed talking too. I had a very good time.

[Dec. 25th & 26th]
I hang loose until evening. I had to do my homework, but I watched TV all the time. I had to work part-time at evening. I worked hard, so I was tired.

[Dec. 27th]
I was going to eat yakiniku with my friends, but one of my friends couldn’t go there, so we stopped the plan. Because I became free, I went to downtown with my friend of part-time job. We ate lunch at J café, went shopping and ate sweets at Good Deal Café. My friend would like to buy one piece, so we chose one together. I went out with her for the first time, so it became a fun day!

[Dec. 28th]
I was going to clean my room, but I watched TV again. I went to work part-time at evening.

[Dec. 29th]
I went to downtown with my sister. First, we went to PARCO, and I bought a shirt, pants and a bag. Next, we went to karaoke. We sang a lot of songs for 2.5 hours. It was fun and exciting for us. After that, we went to New-s, and I bought a coat, an earring and a belt. I was happy to get all things I wanted. On my way to home, I bought a DVD. I don’t watch it, so I want watch right now!

[Dec. 30th & 31st]
I worked part-time from noon to evening. I was tired. I enjoyed watching TV while I ate dinner. I watched music programs. My favorite singers and music groups appeared, so I was happy. I ate the buckwheat noodles eaten on New Year’s Eve.

[Jan. 1st]
As soon as I got up, I ate New Year dishes and rice cake boiled with vegetables. In the afternoon, I worked part-time very hard. Many guests came to my work place. It was busy, so I was so tired.

[Jan. 2nd]
After I finished working, I went to see my cousins. They prepared special dishes. I ate sushi, steak, and so on. I was pleasant to meet my cousins, uncle and aunt, and I enjoy talking with them.

[Jan. 3rd]
At evening, my cousins came to my home. I had met them for a long time, so I felt happy.

[Jan. 4th]
My high school reunion was held. I went to downtown at evening, and I waited my friend. I met her, and we went there. I saw a lot of old friends. It was a great time for me.

[Jan.5th]
I worked all day. I was so tired. I finished working for five days.

[Jan. 6th]
I went to Nakagawa Photo Studio to take pictures. I wore kimono. I was made up and set my hair. I looked a different person. I am looking forward to taking part in Coming-of-Age Day. At night, I went to bowling with my co-workers. I played 6 games. I enjoyed it. I got 164 points. This was my best score of bowling. I was very happy then.
